Originally sheep and dairy farmers, the Matetic family turned their hand to winemaking in 1999, and quickly became one of the most sought after of all Chilean producers. Making very elegant, complex and structured expressions from their vineyards in the San Antonio Valley, these wines are marked by their freshness. Matured for 18-20 months in French Oak, the EQ Syrah is bold with the aromas of black fruits, violets, spices and black pepper, while the palate is vibrant with acidity.
