Although it may be distilled in Germany’s Black Forest, the eccentricity of the Monkey 47 is British through and through. The berries that give this sloe gin its peppery, tangy notes are harvested at first frost and macerated in the brand’s spirit for three months. We’re using it for a fresh take on the bramble cocktail by mixing it with crème de cassis, lemon juice and sugar syrup – don’t forget plenty of ice.
