Nielson, who in 1964 planted the first commercial vineyard in Santa Barbara County (a region previously considered too cold to grow grapes), Nielson Wines creates this bottle of pinot noir. For this full-bodied blend, the fruity aromas of wild strawberry mingles with gamey notes that’s naturally softened over 16 months in a French oak barrel. It’s one to enjoy while watching the sun set over the Nappa Valley, that’s for sure.
