Welcome to Self Discoveries – a weekly round-up of our favourite happenings across Selfridges’ four stores. From the jetsetting Louis Vuitton Cruise collection at Selfridges Exchange Square to Gucci's new and exclusive range of eyewear at Selfridges London, here are the top five things not to miss at Selfridges this week.

Louis Vuitton’s Caravan pop-up, Manchester Exchange Square

Cruise collections are all about whisking yourself away to somewhere far-flung. Having hosted its 2020 Cruise Collection runway show in JFK airport, Louis Vuitton continues to channel its travel theme with their Caravan pop-up at Selfridges Exchange Square, from 28 February until 13 March. Cue styles inspired by, in the brand’s words, ‘America’s fascination with French fascination’ – aka buildings transformed into prints and brocades, acid colours that nod to the bright city lights, and there’s a hint of a Wall Street uniform. Take a trip up to the Women’s Designer Galleries on 2 to explore the collection for yourself and start planning your next getaway.

Exclusive: Gucci sunglasses at Selfridges London

Gucci fan? Us too – and you’re in luck as we’ve got a very special collection for you. Launching exclusively with us, from 2 to 29 March, Gucci’s new range of eyewear will help you get ready for those springtime rays (coming soon, right?). Take your pick from their signature, intricately crafted magnified silhouettes – perfect for when you’re (eventually) lounging in the sun.

Relax with the latest films (and a bucket of popcorn)

Fancy a bit of ‘sit-down’ entertainment? Then head to The Cinema at Selfridges and watch the most-talked-about films, including 'Emma', 'Parasite' and 'Greed'. As well as showing the biggest blockbusters, we'll also show classic cinema and independent films across our three (yes, THREE) screens, complete with state-of-art Dolby Atmos surround sound and laser projection technology. Relax in the reclining seats and enjoy delicious food and drinks, served at our rather glamorous on-site bar. Talk about the perfect after-work (or weekend) activity…

Comedy Club in The Cinema at Selfridges London

Offering an alternative kind of ab workout, our Comedy Club is running every other Thursday until 26 March, in The Cinema at Selfridges in London. Bec Hill has just been added to the line-up, on 12 March, where she’ll be bringing her puns and ‘paper-puppetry’ to our stage. We’re also looking forward to Figs in Wigs, the “UK’s most ignored performance collective” – expect laughs and leotards aplenty.

Black Lemon’s vegan snacks at Selfridges London

Calling all devoted vegans, ‘meat-free Monday-ers’ and street-food fans: Black Lemon has launched a mouthwatering menu at its pop-up in the Foodhall at Selfridges London. The star of the show is chilli-non-carne (see what they did there?), which is made from seven slow-cooked vegetables, Mexican spices, chipotle and bitter chocolate. You can order it loaded up as part of a chilli rice bowl, wrapped into a burrito or poured over crispy nachos. Holy mole.
