Self Discoveries: five things you don’t want to miss at Selfridges this week

Welcome to Self Discoveries – a weekly round-up of our favourite happenings across Selfridges’ four stores. From a rather fashionable Anya Hindmarch pop-up at Selfridges London, to the Gruffalo making an appearance at Selfridges Manchester Trafford, read on, and then plan your visit, ASAP.

All the Easter goodies – Selfridges London, Manchester Trafford, Manchester Exchange & Birmingham

With Easter right around the corner, we’re getting acquainted with the truck-load of chocolatey treats that have just landed across our four stores. From dairy-free almond and salted caramel truffles by Booja Booja to mini chocolate eggs from Godiva, we’ve been painstakingly taste-testing all the chocolate goodies we can get our hands on – all in the name of research, of course. Our personal favourite? The Selfridges Selection artisan chocolate egg – lovingly hand-painted in pink and orange chocolate paint, it’s almost too pretty to eat. Almost.

Anya Hindmarch’s getaway pop-up at Selfridges London

Searching for the ultimate holiday bag for your next getaway? Anya Hindmarch has you covered with its latest Neeson bag. Head to our pop-up in store from 1–14 April for some hand-woven personalisation on your new bag (on both the Neeson tote and cross-body styles). Absolutely anything goes, so make your mark with a name, initials, or even a little inspirational quote, if that floats your boat.

The Gruffalo meet-and-greet at Manchester Trafford

The Gruffalo himself will be leaving the deep, dark woods and making his way to Selfridges this week – and you’re invited to say hello. Head to Kids on Upper Level for a complimentary meet-and-greet on Saturday 13 April, and don’t forget to bring your camera! Reserve your space on the link below, or turn up on the day as there will be a limited amount of tickets available.

Tommy Jeans x Coca Cola launch – Selfridges London & Manchester Trafford

Head to the denim studios at both Selfridges Oxford Street, London and Manchester Trafford for the latest must-have capsule collection we’re all fawning over, courtesy of Tommy Jeans and Coca Cola. Two brands both fizzing with classic Americana nostalgia, this line-up of vintage-style logo tees and hoodies is a nice little throwback to their first collaboration back in the 80s – and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.

Alto San Carlo opens for breakfast – Selfridges London

Breakfast: truly the most important meal of the day – especially when it’s in a location as gorgeous as this one. We’re so excited that our Alto by San Carlo restaurant on the roof at Selfridges London has opened its doors for breakfast (weekly from 9:30–11am), and we can't think of anywhere better to spend a lazy morning this upcoming Easter weekend. Breakfast bellini, anyone?
